The textile and clothing industry have undergone dramatic structural change in recent decades. Nevertheless, the entire textile chain - from raw materials to the finished garment or textile product - is still present in the region Rhine-Meuse-North and with the intensive use of the circular economy the textile sector can take over the innovation leadership in the region.
In a interesting "Innovation Forum" multiple speakers exemplify how innovative euregional companies an a university of applied sciences can support and drive a textile-company's innovation process. Firstly, Frans Beckers, will speak about our role as FBBasic and how we support innovation processes in particular within circular economy.
Secondly, Laura Kunze, project manager of the german company imat-uve gmbh will talk about our cooperation in a cross-border project on mixed fibre recycling for the automotive sector.
